Himmel + Meringoff Properties
Himmel + Meringoff Properties is a privately held investment company based in Manhattan. Leslie Himmel and Stephen Meringoff launched the firm in 1985, and the firm now manages a portfolio with dozens of offices, and industrial and retail properties, with more than 2.5 million square feet.
The firm is best-known for repositioning top-shelf Manhattan office properties. Himmel + Meringoff was also one of the first major New York landlords to team up with WeWork, agreeing to a 19-year, 180,000-square-foot lease at 1460 Broadway.
The firm acquired 305,000-square-foot industrial property at 1601 Bronxdale Avenue in the Bronx’s Van Nest area in mid-2019 with financier Square Mile Capital Management, and Himmel + Meringoff Properties also repositioned the 500,000-square-foot 525 West 57th Street for life sciences tenants. As of early 2021, its roster included the International Multiple Sclerosis Management Practice and LabCorp.
Himmel + Meringoff Properties’ portfolio also included 30 West 26th Street in Manhattan’s NoMad, 729 Seventh Avenue and 462 Broadway.
