Bridge Investment Group is based in Salt Lake City, but its portfolio reaches far from its home base, including a massive development project in D.C., a famed Art Deco tower in Chicago and an opportunity zone project in Queens.
Led by a team that includes Robert Morse, Jonathan Slager, Dean Allara and Adam O’Farrell, the group boosted its activity in industrial net leasing, multifamily and office over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the early stages of said pandemic, Bridge acquired $700 million of distressed real estate-backed, fixed-income securities and sold the last of these investments back into the market one year later in April 2021.
It has since acquired multiple office properties in the D.C. region, including a three-building campus in Fairfax County for $106 million. It then quickly flipped one of the three buildings for $63 million, and landed Inova Health as a tenant in one of the two remaining buildings.
Bridge also tapped into the active life sciences and industrial markets in the D.C. area, landing a 93,400-square-foot lease with biotech firm Tetracore in Rockville, Md., an anchor point on the I-270 corridor.
On the development side, Bridge is a partner on a large mixed-use development in D.C.’s Buzzard Point called The Stacks. The waterfront project is being developed by Ackridge and will include more than 2,000 homes, two hotels and 80,000 square feet of retail space.
