Elizabeth Arden Signs Lease for 10,000-Square-Foot Spa at 200 Park Avenue South

Cosmetics giant Elizabeth Arden inked a deal that will bring the company’s Red Door Spa to 10,000 square feet at 200 Park Avenue South, The Commercial Observer has learned.

Joseph A. Cabrera, Edward Weiss,  Michael Gordon, and Robert Gibson of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant. Gregg Schenker, Mark Tergesen and John Gols of ABS Partners Real Estate represented the landlord, 200 Park South Associates LLC. Gary Trock of CBRE also worked on the ownership side of the transaction.

Asking rents were $425 a square foot for the ground floor and $100 a square foot for the lower level. Read More

GNC Leases 2,100 Square Feet at 302 Canal Street as Corridor Transforms

GNC signed a 10-year lease (with a five-year option) for 2,100 square feet at 302 Canal Street, The Commercial Observer has learned.

It will be the health and wellness retailer’s 47th Manhattan location. The store will be evenly divided between a ground floor and basement space. The previous tenant was a local shoe and apparel store.

RKF‘s Ariel Schuster and Greg Covey represented the tenant. ABS Partners Real Estate‘s Mark Tergesen represented the landlord, Charbern Management Group. GNC’s Rory McCutcheon worked in-house on the deal. Read More

Two floors of a Chelsea condo—formerly home to the art gallery Taxter & Spengemann—have been taken over by French company Atelier Charles Jouffre, a specialist in wall décor, custom upholstery and window treatments.

The Paris-based Atelier Charles Jouffre has inked a deal for a 2,000-square-foot space at 459 West 18th Street, located between Ninth and Tenth Avenues near the High Line. Read More
