Neither the length of the lease nor the rent was disclosed.

PEAKE Technology’s new space will be in a single-story building at 5041 Howerton Way, which totals 34,560 square feet of flex/research and development space.

The health care company will relocate about 35 employees from its current home at 2138 Espey Court in nearby Crofton, in Anne Arundel County, this fall. It will also look to hire at least 15 new employees for the space, which is larger than its previous offices.

“Our business remains in an accelerated growth mode, in part, due to the increased need for medical and healthcare services in the region, coupled with our continued ability to attract new client relationships,” Patrick Shoemaker, a partner with PEAKE Technology Partners, said in a prepared statement.

Melford Town Center is situated at the intersection of U.S. Route 50 and MD Route 3/301, approximately 18 miles from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Airport) and 25 miles from Downtown Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

“Melford Town Center represented the perfect location to accommodate Peake Technology’s expansion based on the immediate availability of space that can be customized to fit their exact needs, a prime location near many of its healthcare clients and proximity to a highly-skilled employment market,” Sean Doordan, St. John Properties’ vice president of leasing and acquisitions, said in a prepared statement. “We believe the ability to custom-design a work environment to suit their needs will provide an additional corporate advantage.”

Bill Jautze, a leasing representative for St. John Properties, represented the landlord in the deal, while John Rosso, a principal of Rosso Commercial, represented the client.

To date, St. John Properties has developed more than 1 million square feet at Melford Town Center, according to a company statement.
