Global talent and literary agency United Talent Agency has grown at Vornado Realty Trust’s 888 Seventh Avenue to 62,450 square feet, Commercial Observer has learned.

The agency has added 19,363 square feet on part of the eighth and ninth floors to its current digs at the 47-story, 880,000-square-foot tower between West 56th and West 57th Streets, according to a source with knowledge of the deal.

In January 2016, UTA signed a 43,087-square-foot deal for its New York City offices at 888 Seventh Avenue, as CO previously reported. The move was a major jump for the Beverly Hills, Calif.-based agency, which previously occupied about 15,000 square feet in the building.

Once it assumes the new space in the first quarter of 2019, UTA will occupy the entire seventh and eight floors and part of the ninth and 11th floors, the source confirmed.

The lease, signed last week, will be co-terminus with UTA’s existing lease through June 30, 2027. The asking rent was in the mid-$70s per square foot.

JLL (JLL)’s Alexander Chudnoff, Mitchell Konsker and Benjamin Bass represented the tenant in the deal. Vornado’s Glen Weiss and Jared Solomon represented the landlord in-house. Company spokesmen didn’t respond to a request for comment.
