Univision Expands Lease at 605 Third Avenue

Univision Communications, Inc. has expanded its lease with Fisher Brothers at 605 Third Avenue to include the 25th and 26th floors, or 39,742 square feet.

The extended lease was signed in December 2012 and now totals over 175,000 square feet, according to a statement provided to The Commercial Observer by a Fisher Brothers spokesperson. The initial lease, signed in May 2012, included 135,697 square feet across the 8th, 11th, 32nd and 33rd floors.

PHOTO-605 Third Ave605 Third Avenue is a 1.1 million square-foot building located between 39th and 40th streets, according to Fisher Brothers. Tenants include law firm Davidoff, Malito & Hutcher LLP. As reported by The Commercial Observer, the firm renewed its lease for an additional 17 years in May 2012. The building is also the headquarters for asset management firm Neuberger Berman.

Univision Communications is a media company serving Hispanic America and controls a number of assets including the Univision Network, a top five U.S. network, and Univision Radio.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Carl Eriksen of CBRE (CBRE) represented the tenant and Jack Whalen represented Fisher Brothers in-house.

Requests for comment from Fisher Brothers and Univision Communications were not immediately returned. CBRE declined requests to comment.
