Philip Russo

A noted writer and speaker on Proptech, Philip Russo is Special Correspondent for the Commercial Observer's weekly newsletter, Proptech Insider.

In 2019, Phil founded PRUSSO Proptech Consulting, a full service advisory and consulting business for Proptech startups, encompassing investor and client networking, as well as a unique CEO training experience. A 16-year veteran of commercial real estate communications, from 2016 through 2018 he was the Founding Partner of MetaProp Advisors, and Chief Communications Strategist for all MetaProp NYC businesses.

Phil has been a regular contributor to Propmodo; created and hosted the world’s first PropTech podcast, The MetaPropCast; co-produced and co-hosted Norway’s Proptech Innovation Conference 2020 and subsequent conferences, as well as moderated a number of industry panels.

Prior to joining MetaProp, Phil was at CBRE Group, Inc., where he was Senior Director, Communications and Marketing, for the New York Tri-State Region. He also previously worked at Cushman & Wakefield, where he was Senior Managing Director of Media & Corporate Affairs.

He is a longtime resident of Brooklyn.
