Office furniture manufacturer Haworth is staying seated at 125 Park Avenue.
Haworth has signed a 10-year lease renewal for its 30,365-square-foot office and showroom space at the 25-story Midtown office building, landlord SL Green Realty announced Wednesday.
The company, which manufactures and sells high-end, ergonomic office seating and workspaces, has been a tenant in the property, also known as the Pershing Square Building, for more than a decade. The firm, which did not immediately respond to Commercial Observer’s request for comment, previously renewed its lease for the same space back in 2015, CO reported at the time.
The asking rent was $100 per square foot.
SL Green was represented in-house in this deal, while Haworth was represented by Ethan Silverstein and Amy Zhen from Cushman & Wakefield. C&W did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
“We are proud to extend our valued relationship with Haworth at 125 Park Avenue,” Steven Durels, executive vice president and director of leasing and real property at SL Green, said in a statement. “The building’s proximity to Grand Central Terminal and our new lobby and elevator cab renovation have helped maintain 99 percent occupancy.”
SL Green acquired 125 Park Avenue in 2010 for $330 million, according to property records. The building sits across the street from Grand Central Terminal on Park Avenue and East 42nd Street. Other tenants in the building include banking and investment firm TD Securities and real estate brokerage Newmark.
