The who’s who of New York real estate descended on the New York Hilton in Midtown last Thursday for the industry’s event of the year, the gala hosted by the Real Estate Board of New York. The attendees, a mix of developers, power brokers and politicians, mingled at the cocktail hour, applauded the year’s honorees, and celebrated the beginning of a new decade in the Big Apple. After a rocky year for the real estate industry, with its notable defeats in the rent regulation and Amazon skirmishes, REBNY and the community are gearing up for a comeback.
