reprintsDigital music distributor TuneCore has expanded its Dumbo offices, according to tenant broker Cresa.
The 14-year-old company, which licenses and distributes music online for independent artists, has added 4,000 square feet to its 10,000-square-foot offices on the seventh floor of Two Trees’ 45 Main Street. Asking rent in the seven-year deal was in the high $40s per square foot.
TuneCore has been in the building, located between Washington and Front Streets, since 2011. It plans to take over its new space this fall.
The service, which helps musicians place their music on Apple Music, Spotify and Google Play, has been used by acts like Nine Inch Nails, Jay-Z, Ed Sheeran and Keith Richards.
Robert Sattler and Mark Toubin of Cresa represented TuneCore, and Two Trees was represented in-house by Elizabeth Bueno.
“The opportunity presented itself to expand on the current floor in the building and for TuneCore to have the ability to update all of their space in the building,” Sattler said in prepared remarks.
