Millbrook Realty Capital was established in 2009 by Charles Yassky and Marc Yassky, both of whom have extensive experience in the real estate industry as lenders and owners. With Benedetti on board, the company will expand its activities, focusing on short-term loans (six to 36 months) on a range of property types nationwide—including multi-family, mixed-use buildings, condominiums and hotels—with a targeted loan size of $1 million to $25 million. Millbrook also provides financing for ground-up construction projects and purchases distressed notes.

The company takes an asset-driven approach to its lending activities and prides itself on quick closing times (as fast as three days) with rates as low as 7.5 percent.

Millbrook is targeting $150 million in originations by year-end.
