Niche Media Holdings, which publishes regional lifestyle magazines including Aspen Peak, Gotham and Hamptons, signed a lease for 20,000 square feet at 711 Third Avenue, The Real Deal reported.
The publisher will move from 100 Church Street. The properties are among the 101 Manhattan buildings owned by SL Green (SLG) Realty.
Niche Media will occupy part of the fifth floor. Entire floors in the building exceed 48,000 square feet, according to the building’s website which lists asking rents at $55 and $58 per square foot.
Built in 1955 the 546,299-square-foot building located between East 44th and East 45th Streets is a satellite home to UK-based academic publisher Taylor & Francis Group. The building was upgraded in 2010.
Scott Panzer and Kirill Azovtsev of JLL represented Niche Media in the deal. Gary Rosen and Howard Tenenbaum of SL Green represented the landlord. Mr. Azovtsev declined to comment. The other brokers did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
