SAI International Renews at 231 West 39th Street

Textile manufacturer SAI International has signed a three-year, 10-month renewal for its 10,881-square-foot space on the fifth floor of 231 West 39th Street, Commercial Observer has learned.
The tenant has operated a showroom in the building since 1993. Asking rent for the space was $35 per square foot.
As reported by Commercial Observer, Los Angeles-based clothier Hard Tail has signed a five-year extension to its 5,521-square-foot lease at 231 West 39th Street. Earlier, Hudson Jeans signed at 10-year, 6,973-square-foot renewal at the building, adding 2,700 square feet to its showroom.
“The building really looks like a 25- to 35-year-old, post-college, women’s closet… every brand you would see in a department store or out at a bar or club at night,” James Buslik told Commercial Observer at the time of the Hudson Jeans lease.
Both the tenant and landlord, 231/249 West 39 Street Associates, were represented by Mr. Buslik and his son Jeff Buslik.
