Yoga Studio Stretches Into Flatiron Location

Marking its seventh Manhattan studio, Exhale has signed a lease for 3,027 square feet at 19 West 21st Street.
Exhale’s Mind-Body Studio will be on the ground floor of the Flatiron area building, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, when it opens for business in May. This marks the yoga studio’s seventh Manhattan location.
RKF‘s Edmond Ezra and Ernie Getz represented Exhale in the transaction. It involved a sublease from Showbiz Store & Cafe and a lease extension from the landlord, Fifth Partners, according to Sinvin Real Estate‘s Christopher Owles, who along with Max Talpalar, represented Showbiz. Mr. Talpalar said the asking rent was $95 per square foot.
“The Flatiron District has truly evolved into a neighborhood that’s sophisticated, youthful, and athletic,” Mr. Ezra said in a prepared statement. “Other fitness-based and sportswear retailers have done extremely well here, operating alongside Whole Foods and the green market at Union Square, which are turning this entire area into a wellness district in its own right.”
Mr. Talpalar added: “We think that Exhale will be a great fit in the neighborhood and a high quality addition to the building.”
