WPP, the world’s largest advertising and communications services company, renewed its New York office’s lease at 100 Park Avenue. The deal, which closed the first week in January, will extend the company’s New York presence at a location it has called home for over ten years.

WPP’s space is comprised of the building’s entire fourth floor—43,294 square feet. The company did not negotiate for any added space, options to expand or renovations, said Steven Durels, executive vice president and director of leasing at SL Green Realty Corp.

100 Park Avenue is a 36-story; 825,815-square-foot LEED certified tower and a past winner of the Building Owners and Managers Association’s International Renovated Building of the Year Award. It was conceived as Park Avenue’s first modern glass and steel tower and has undergone a recent, $70 million renovation.

The building enjoys Abigail Michaels concierge service, as well as close proximity to Grand Central Station’s transportation hub. Security services are available to tenants, as are portable automated external defibrillators, which have been deployed in 100 Park Avenue – as they have in all SL Green buildings – and are designed for emergency use for occupants who may suffer from sudden cardiac arrest.

“We are delighted that WPP Group has decided to remain at 100 Park,” said Mr. Durels, as part of a prepared release.

Other major tenants in the building include BDO, Aetna Life Insurance Company, Wells Fargo Trade Capital Services, ABN Amro Holdings, Aecom Technology Corporation and Ameriprise.
