How much longer can this go on?
My prediction is that we’ll have one or two more spikes over the winter. By next fall, between vaccinations, herd immunity and COVID treatments, we’ll return to normal.
What does normal look like?
I believe normal will look like what life looked like pre-pandemic. Humans are social beings that want to live, travel, have fun and work together.
If you could go back in time to March of 2020 what’s the first thing you would do?
More aggressively bet on downturns in the stock market and in real estate.
What do you do now that you never did before 2020?
Take additional precautions like wearing a mask and washing my hands much more frequently than before. That said, I have done my best to safely return to living my life.
What’s the biggest threat to the return to normal?
A mutation in the virus that causes increased transmissibility and fatalities, which could cause society to severely lock down again.
Is now the time to buy or sell?
It depends on the asset class. Opportunistic investors are always looking to do both.
Suddenly, there’s a big change to the New York state constitution and you’re now named the 58th governor of the Empire State — what do you do about the eviction moratorium?
Maintain compassionate eviction laws for people in need and enforce evictions for bad actors and for people who are abusing the system or causing disturbances to the residential community.
