An industry veteran, Lyon spent almost 10 years at the bank and is responsible for managing all of its commercial real estate activities.

Prior to joining Capital One in January 2008, Lyon spent 27 years with Wachovia in various leadership roles in its real estate, corporate and middle-market banking groupsincluding running its commercial real estate banking business for the northeast region. After graduating from Villanova University with a degree in accounting, Lyon began his career at CoreStates (now part of Wells Fargo), where his initial focus was on organizing the company’s trade finance business. He eventually progressed to head-up corporate and middle-market banking for the firm’s northeast region.

Consistently featured on Commercial Observer’s annual Power 50 list, Lyon has been focused on expanding the bank’s business nationally. He and his team grew Capital One’s portfolio of loans to $26.5 billion in 2016, up by nearly $1 billion from 2015.

Those are some big shoes to fill…
