Colliers is growing its New York City office and industrial leasing teams with two new hires, Commercial Observer has learned.
Following a nearly seven-and-a-half-year tenure with Cushman & Wakefield, John Albal has joined Colliers as a senior associate within its Manhattan office and will focus on tenant representation and office leasing in Manhattan, according to Colliers. Meanwhile, Joseph Hentze Jr., a nearly six-year veteran at C&W, is joining the Manhattan office at Colliers as a vice president focusing on industrial leasing across the five boroughs.
“John and Joseph bring valuable experience, strong client relationships and a deep understanding of the New York market to our team,” John Gallagher, executive managing director at Colliers in New York, said in a statement. “As companies continue to reassess their needs and make more strategic decisions about their real estate, having experienced advisers who can navigate an evolving market is more important than ever.”
C&W declined CO’s request for comment.
While Albal was with C&W, he specialized in tenant representation and advised C-suite executives regarding leasing opportunities and real estate strategies.
“Colliers brings together a strong tenant representation business, deep market research and a respected global brand,” Albal said in a statement. “I’m excited to bring those resources to our clients and contribute to the firm’s continued growth in New York.”
Hentze was most recently a director with C&W, where he advised both tenants and landlords on industrial leasing deals across Manhattan and the outer boroughs.
“New York City’s industrial market presents a unique set of opportunities for businesses seeking space across the boroughs,” Hentze said in a statement. “I look forward to leveraging Colliers’ platform to help industrial owners and occupiers navigate their decisions and find properties that support their operational needs and long-term growth.”
