Zimmet Law Group is relocating its practice inside Manhattan’s Plaza District.
Zimmet signed a 5,476-square-foot lease for a newly completed space inside GFP Real Estate’s 515 Madison Avenue, also known as the DuMont Building. Located at the corner of East 53rd Street, the 42-story office tower is just one block south of Zimmet’s current abode in RFR Holding’s 477 Madison Avenue.
Zimmet’s practice areas range widely, from matrimonial and family law to real estate matters. The law firm was represented by Savitt Partners’ Elliot Zelinger, while GFP’s Martin McGrath and Kephra Stone negotiated in-house for the landlord. Zelinger did not respond to a request for comment.
Asking rent for the nearly 10-year lease term was not disclosed, but office asking rents in Midtown averaged $88.50 per square foot in the second quarter of 2026, according to Cushman & Wakefield data.
Zimmet is expected to take occupancy at 515 Madison later this year, according to GFP, following the completion of its new space. Zimmet’s office did not respond to a request for comment on the relocation.
Earlier this year, GFP took full ownership of the 350,000-square-foot Class A tower after securing an $86.5 million refinancing deal with Apple Bank, which enabled the buyout of ATCO Properties & Management’s remaining 40 percent stake in the property.
By late February, the landlord had secured 12,000 square feet of new leasing activity, Commercial Observer reported. GFP announced another 9,000 square feet of deals in late July, including leases for investment firm T7 Capital, aesthetic training provider Innovation Training Specialist and Widowski Law Group.
Other tenants at 515 Madison include alternative asset manager Whitebox and therapy provider Manhattan Psychiatry Group.
