Fifth Third Bank is expanding its office footprint at Rockefeller Center.

The financial institution added roughly 11,000 square feet to its headquarters at Tishman Speyer’s 50 Rockefeller Plaza for a total of 32,347 square feet, which will expire with its current lease in February 2034, according to the landlord.

Tishman Speyer did not immediately disclose the asking rent for the building, but the average asking rent for office space in Midtown in the second quarter of 2026 was $86.18 per square foot, according to a report from CBRE.

Fifth Third Bank originally signed its lease in 2022, Tishman Speyer said.

“Rockefeller Center has been an exceptional home for our team, and expanding our footprint here was a natural next step for Fifth Third,” Joshua Landau, head of corporate client banking at Fifth Third Bank, said in a statement. “[50 Rockefeller Plaza] supports our ability to recruit and retain talented professionals while providing a welcoming destination for clients. Every time colleagues visit from across our footprint, they’re impressed by the energy that Rockefeller Center offers, reaffirming why we chose to deepen our investment here.”

Tishman Speyer’s Blythe Kinsler represented the landlord in-house, while a CBRE team of Joe Cabrera, Kevin Torch and Michael Ciotta negotiated on behalf of the tenant.

CBRE did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

“Fifth Third Bank’s expansion is a strong endorsement of the workplace experience we continue to build across the Rockefeller Center campus,” EB Kelly, head of Rockefeller Center for Tishman Speyer, said in a statement. “Since joining the campus in 2022, Fifth Third has become a valued part of our community, and we’re pleased to support their continued growth in New York.”

Tenants in the 16-story Midtown building include investment manager Republic Capital Group, which took 2,800 square feet in 2023, and accounting firm Citrin Cooperman, which took 110,742 square feet in 2019. It’s unclear whether Citrin Cooperman’s footprint has changed since the pandemic.
