James Marcellino Re-Joins Colliers’ New York City Office as Vice President

More than 13 years after departing Colliers as an associate director, James Marcellino has returned to the company’s New York office as a vice president.
Starting today, Aug. 10, , Marcellino’s new role will focus on office leasing and tenant representation as Colliers continues expanding its New York presence, according to an announcement by the firm.
John Gallagher, executive managing director for New York City at Colliers, called Marcellino’s return “another important step” in the firm’s growth.
“His institutional ownership experience and entrepreneurial perspective will bring immediate value to our clients and our team, and we’re thrilled to welcome him back,” Gallagher said in a statement.
The executive brings with him more than 17 years of experience advising institutional owners, landlords and occupiers on office leasing. In his most recent work as a real estate consultant, Marcellino advised the Bracha Group, Modernus Architectural Products, and Christie’s International Real Estate’s leading residential sales team, the Gottlieb Team.
Marcellino previously served as vice president of leasing at L&L Holding Company from 2023 to 2024, according to the announcement. While there, he oversaw leasing strategy for its 6.3 million-square-foot portfolio and completed nearly 344,000 square feet of office and retail transactions.
Marcellino first arrived at Colliers as an associate director in late 2011. He departed in 2013 for an associate role at CBRE, and eventually moved on to leasing leadership positions at CIM Group and the Moinian Group.
“Colliers has built a tremendous platform in New York, and I’m excited to return at a time when clients are looking for thoughtful, experienced guidance on increasingly complex real estate decisions,” Marcellino said in a statement. “I’ve built my career on strong relationships and finding opportunities that create meaningful value for clients, and I’m excited to continue that work at Colliers.”
Marcellino earned his undergraduate degree in psychology at Syracuse University in 2010 and is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
