Vancouver-based digital consultant firm Appnovation is relocating about five blocks from its former Midtown South office.

The technology company is moving into 5,015 square feet at George Comfort & Sons, Jamestown and Loeb Partners Realty’s 200 Madison Avenue, a 750,000-square-foot tower located on the corner of Madison Avenue and East 36th Street. Asking rents were $69 per square foot for the five-year lease.

The company’s relocation from the 12-story 135 Madison Avenue brings 200 Madison to 95 percent leased. Appnovation plans to move in during the third quarter of this year.

“Appnovation was looking to remain in the same transit-rich neighborhood while seeking newer space and a smooth transition, and we’re pleased to be able to accommodate their needs at 200 Madison,” George Comfort & Sons President and CEO Peter Duncan said in a statement.

The digital consultants will make their new home on part of the 21st floor of the 26-story tower, joining tenants including clothing company Phillips-Van Heusen, insurance company Greater N.Y. Mutual, clothing maker Garan, nonprofit the Surdna Foundation and retail tenants Roche Bobois and Starbucks.

George Comfort & Sons’ Andrew Conrad and Matt Coudert handled it in-house for the landlords. Joshua Goldman of Avison Young represented Appnovation in the deal.

Goldman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
