Weight Watchers, which rebranded as WW International last year, is expanding at 675 Avenue of the Americas in Chelsea, landlord GFP Real Estate confirmed today.

The publicly traded company signed a 13-year lease that added 28,000 square feet to its existing 125,000-square-foot footprint in the building. It currently occupies a portion of the fourth floor and the entire fifth and sixth floors, and its new space will be on the third floor, according to the New York Post, which broke the news about the deal.

Erik Schmall and Daniel Thompson at Savills represented the diet franchise in the expansion deal and declined to comment via a spokeswoman. Eric Gural handled the transaction in-house for GFP.

“We are pleased to work with WW International on their headquarters expansion at 675 Avenue of the Americas,” Gural said in a statement. “WW International is a great asset to both the health and business communities, and we look forward to their continued tenancy in the GFP portfolio.”

Other tenants in the landmarked building between West 21st and West 22nd Streets include Quartz, Gap, Michael’s and Trader Joe’s

GFP acquired the leasehold for the 311,000-square-foot building for $89 million earlier this year, as Commercial Observer previously reported.
