reprintsA new steakhouse will be coming to East 54th Street between Madison and Fifth Avenues at the end of the year.
The JacksonRy Group, led by Greg Conlan, is opening Madison Chophouse at 3 East 54th Street in a 10,000-square-foot space—7,000 of it at grade and 3,000 below grade for back-of-house functions. Conlan is a former manager and operator of Rosie O’Grady’s and BLT Steak.
Per a press release, “The location seeks to cater to both corporate America and visitors to the city seeking the opportunity to dine in a venue that offers the best of prime meat and affordable wines.”
The asking rent for the five-year lease at the base of Cohen Brothers Realty Corporation’s 19-story office building was $1 million per square foot.
The landlord was represented in-house by Marc Horowitz, and CapStreet Advisors‘ Gui Tepedino worked on behalf of the tenant. Tepedino wasn’t immediately reachable.
The New York Post broke the news about Madison Chophouse, which will occupy space previously occupied by Rothmann’s Steakhouse and later, Charlie Palmer Steak.
