reprintsOnline career-hunting platform The Muse has signed a 10-year, 17,972-square-foot lease at 1375 Broadway in a deal that will nearly triple its office space elsewhere.
The firm will occupy the entire 20th floor of the 26-story property between West 37th and West 38th Streets, which is owned by Westbrook Partners. The Muse is relocating from its 6,500-square-foot offices at 151 West 25th Street between Seventh Avenue and Avenue of the Americas.
It will move into its new digs this spring. Westbrook Partners is building out the space, according to a news release from Lee & Associates NYC. The asking rent was $65 per square foot, as Crain’s New York Business reported.
“The Muse initially preferred NoMad, but needed a larger floor plate that is rare in that area,” Lee & Associates NYC’s Dennis Someck, who brokered the deal on behalf of the tenant with colleague Justin Myers, said in a statement. “The Midtown South corridor south of Times Square has buildings with large floor plates and is also developing into a significant tech corridor, which made it an excellent alternative.”
A CBRE team of Paul Amrich, Neil King, Patrice Meagher and Meghan Allen represented Westbrook Partners in the deal. The CBRE brokers did not immediately respond for comment via a spokeswoman.
