reprintsInnovative gym Peak Performance has signed a 25,204-square-foot lease on the entire 10th and 11th floors at RFR Realty‘s 90 Fifth Avenue, Commercial Observer has learned.
Peak Performance is taking space previously occupied by Forbes in the 11-story, 140,000-square-foot building, which is between East 14th and East 15th Streets.
The 90 Fifth Avenue location will be Peak Performance’s flagship and will include office space. As of August, asking rents were reportedly in the $70s per square foot.
Peak Performance, which has one location on the eighth floor at 54 West 21st Street, offers strength and conditioning training, sports rehabilitation and nutritional programs.
“Peak Performance is a welcome addition to 90 Fifth Avenue, and its unique services add an additional amenity for tenants and the neighborhood as a whole,” said Oliver Katcher, who represented RFR in-house in the lease along with colleague AJ Camhi, in a prepared statement.
The building was recently renovated, upgraded and reintroduced to the market with a new lobby with a site-specific art program, new elevator cabs, bathrooms and common areas, as well as upgraded building infrastructure and a new 2,500-square-foot landscaped terrace.
Gui Tepedino and Frank LaRuffa of Roberta Panos, Inc. represented Peak Performance in the transaction. Mr. Tepedino didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
