Urgent care and walk-in medical services provider CityMD will open its 12th Manhattan location and third on the Upper West Side through a 4,568-square-foot lease at 2025 Broadway on the northwest corner of West 69th Street, RKF announced last week.
The expanding chain of 31 locations in the five boroughs, Long Island and Rockland County will open early next year in the ground floor of a 30-story, 215,000-square-foot Nevada Towers residential co-op, said RKF executive vice president Ariel Schuster.
“We were extremely aggressive and direct with our marketing efforts and targeted tenants that would cater to the dense residential neighborhood,” Mr. Schuster said in a prepared statement. “CityMD was a great fit for this location, and will additionally benefit from the visibility, high foot traffic and convenience of being in close proximity to the 72nd Street subway station.”
Mr. Schuster and his RKF colleague Brandon Berger negotiated on behalf of the co-op in the deal, while Benjamin Birnbaum of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Retail represented CityMD in the negotiations.
RKF representatives declined to state the length of the lease or the asking rents for the space at the 280-apartment building. While the latest retail rent report from the Real Estate Board of New York doesn’t list asking rents for the building’s exact location, average asking prices on Broadway from 72nd Street to 86th Street run $284 per square foot while asking rents on nearby Columbus Avenue from 66th Street to 79th Street run for an average of $360 per square foot
NGKF representatives said Mr. Birnbaum was unavailable for comment.
