Boston Market chicken restaurant chain signed a lease this week for 2,600 square feet on the ground floor at the Triangle Plaza Hub in the Bronx, Lester Petracca, the president of Triangle Equities, told Commercial Observer.

The asking rent in the Triangle Equities project was $75 per square foot and the lease was for 10 years, with an option to extend, a spokesman for Triangle Equities indicated.

The $35 million, 88,000-square-foot multi-use Hub at 149th Street in the Melrose neighborhood will be complete and open in spring 2015, Mr. Petracca said.

Fine Fare supermarket and Metropolitan College of New York are the project’s two anchor tenants, with the college relocating its Bronx campus to the development. An additional tenant that signed a deal at the site is Vistasite Eye Care, a provider of eye examinations, glasses and contact lenses.

Ground was broken on Triangle Plaza Hub in September 2013. The project is the result of public-private partnerships with the city and Triangle Equities was selected through a request for proposals, or RFP, process by the city’s Economic Development Corporation.
