Elias Sports Bureau Renews at 500 Fifth

Sports research and statistical service provider Elias Sports Bureau has signed a seven-year renewal for its 7,400-square-foot portion of the 21st floor at 500 Fifth Avenue.

Elias Sports Bureau, founded in 1913, has been a tenant at 500 Fifth Avenue for over 20 years. The company is the official statistician for all major U.S. sports leagues including Major League Baseball, the National Football League, the National Basketball Association and the National Hockey League. Elias is also the leading source of statistics for both ESPN and CBS Sports.

500 fifth avenue Elias Sports Bureau Renews at 500 FifthLocated at the corner of 42nd Street overlooking Bryant Park, 500 Fifth Avenue currently boasts 92 percent occupancy.

“The location is always a top [feature,]” Harry Blair of Cushman & Wakefield (CWK) told The Commercial Observer. “It is right on 42nd and Fifth across from Bryant Park, which is a year-round amenity.”

As reported previously by The Commercial Observer, IMC Asset Management relocated and expanded to nearly 6,000 square feet on the 56th floor at 500 Fifth Avenue.

“It talks to the ability for us to address growing tenants,” Mr. Blair noted of the lease.

Mr. Blair and Sean Kearns of C&W represented ownership, 500 Fifth Avenue Inc. Elias Sports Bureau did not have outside representation.
