Bernard Dikman will be relocating to a new office in New York.
The accounting firm will be moving from its office at 156 Fifth Avenue in favor of an office at 37 West 20th Street. The office spans 3,412 square feet on the seventh floor of the building.
“[Their old] lease was expiring,” said Daniel Lolai, a leasing associate at murray hill properties and a representative on the deal. “We got a solid deal with a good landlord around the corner.”
“We were able to salvage the bones in the space and get an aggressive deal with minimal work,” he further explained about the attraction to the building.
The lease was set for ten years.
“[The building is a] fully renovated loft building with [a] 24/7 doorman,” said Daniel Breiman, a senior managing director of Olmstead Properties. “[The office is a] bright corner unit with central AC, wood floors, and 11.5′ ceilings.”
Mr. Lolai represented the tenant on the transaction and Mr. Breiman was in the in-house broker on behalf of Olmstead Properties.
The space rent for the space was in the high $40s per square foot.
Mr. Brieman further describes the leasing activity at the building as “excellent,” noting that the building remains 98.3% occupied.
