CB Richard Ellis has promoted a key member of the firm’s Corporate Finance Group to chief financial officer, it was announced last week.

Gil Borok, who previously served as CBRE’s chief financial officer of the Americas operations, joined the real estate services firm in 2002 as a corporate controller. He will be responsible for all the firm’s financial dealings.

Mr. Borok takes over CFO responsibilities from Bob Sulentic, who will continue as the company’s president, where he will focus on day-to-day business operations.

“I am pleased to welcome Gil back to the CFO role,” said Brett White, chief executive officer for CB Richard Ellis. “He has intimate knowledge of our finances and a deep understanding of our business. Gil is well known and highly regarded by the Wall Street community and has earned the respect and confidence of our board of directors and senior management throughout the organization.”
