Family real estate companies have often led the industry in adopting technology for both internal use and for customers. In 2026, Fisher Brothers took a big step toward being a tech-forward member of that cohort.
In August, the 111-year-old company announced AI Innovation Lab, which operates across its commercial and residential enterprise, as well as at Area15, its Las Vegas entertainment venue.
Rather than adopting off-the-shelf tools, Fisher Brothers’ technology team is developing proprietary applications and AI agents capable of automating multistep workflows, connecting previously siloed systems, and turning the company’s data into a resource employees can access and act on in real time. In doing so, Fisher Brothers joined similar companies in taking their proptech in-house more.
“The AI lab that we’ve instituted, hiring a dedicated team, elevating Mark Stutzman to be our global CTO from where he worked at Area 15, was very significant because it demonstrated our commitment to have a full-time team of professionals,” said Winston Fisher. “Every day we are working on AI transformation, and the great thing about it is it’s not one big thing. It’s actually a lot of little things that are transforming the company.”
One of the “little things” Fisher Brothers has done is to create an AI canvassing program for meeting planners, and an agentic lead-generation system for Ease, its hospitality-driven luxury amenity and conference center concept in New York City. “Lead generation is everything, so having a full-time AI agent doing it is just straightforward business,” Fisher added.
In the course of so many technological in-house changes, Fisher Brothers has worked to garner employee buy-in to make everything work.
“The hardest thing in a company is getting everyone to come along with you on these types of things,” Fisher said. “We have a dedicated team working with staff to accelerate the transformation.”
