HqO’s Real Estate Experience (REX) platform provides commercial real estate companies with a complete technology platform for managing their assets.
According to Boston-based HqO, the company currently serves almost 300 companies that manage over 900 million square feet on the platform, with 100 million feet of that added over the past year.
And, in a necessary adaptation for the age of AI, this year has seen the addition to the platform of a database product called the Digital Grid, which, according to HqO, “centralizes key tenant metrics so portfolio managers, asset managers and property managers can uncover data-driven insights and take action to improve their assets.”
“The Digital Grid provides companies with an open storage system where they can take things from their current systems and switch applications, or plug them into different AI tools,” said Chase Garbarino. “The underlying concept of having every bit of data on a building stored in one place with actual application to action was super expensive and hard to do until AI came along. It takes humans a ton of time to pull data out of documents and get it organized. AI brought the cost down to where you can store all the data for not just one building but an entire portfolio in one place in an organized fashion.”
Garbarino said the new product places HqO squarely into the data layer for its clients.
“We’ve been known for tenant-facing applications, and applications for helping people who run buildings to manage their days,” said Garbarino. “This new product is for the technical and data teams trying to wrap their arms around all of the data their organization generates.”
HqO has also introduced a “commerce suite,” said Garbarino, that helps owners measure the ultimate effect of spending on services and amenities on a company’s net operating income.
