If billion‑dollar transformations were a sport, Stan Kroenke wouldn’t just be in its hall of fame — he probably would’ve built it, too.

Worth a staggering $21 billion, the mogul’s portfolio of major league franchises is the most valuable sports empire in the world. And while Kroenke has landmark sports developments planned in other cities, judging by where he spends most of his time and energy (and money), Los Angeles and the Rams appear to be Kroenke’s pride and joy.

This year, “Silent Stan” and the Rams announced the highly anticipated plans for Rams Village — a $10 billion mixed‑use project in Woodland Hills that will redefine the San Fernando Valley. Slated to kick off in 2027, the Gensler-designed district will be anchored by a state‑of‑the‑art headquarters, training fields, residential towers, office space, hotel rooms, retail space and dual entertainment venues.

Kroenke’s firm also announced more developments at SoFi Stadium and the adjacent 300-acre Hollywood Park in Inglewood. The latest calls for a 12-acre studio production facility featuring five soundstages and an 80,000-square-foot creative office.

Of course, there are many more big games on deck in Inglewood, too — some of the biggest, actually. The $5.5 billion SoFi Stadium will host eight soccer matches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and then it will host the NFL’s Super Bowl for the second time in February 2027.

Then, it’s time for the closeup: The stadium — briefly dubbed “2028 Stadium” — will take center stage for the Summer Olympic and Paralympic ceremonies as co‑host of the opening ceremonies, while the new studio will serve as the international broadcast center for the Games.

So, while the Rams, the Nuggets, the Avalanche and Arsenal look to add more hardware to their respective trophy cases, it’s a good bet their owner is out looking to make them the cornerstone in market-changing development.
