SERHANT

SERHANT is a residential brokerage based in Manhattan that television personality Ryan Serhant started in September 2020.

The brokerage focuses on luxury sales in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens in particular, though it also does higher-end deals nationally. It relies largely on referrals from past clients for new business, according to the brokerage. SERHANT initially had around 20 brokers, including Serhant, and likely grew afterward.

Serhant the man is best-known for starring in the Bravo reality TV series “Million Dollar Listing New York” and “Sell It Like Serhant.” He also runs his own brokerage based in Manhattan.

Born in Houston in July 1984 and raised on Massachusetts’ North Shore, Serhant originally started out in New York as an actor and, improbably enough, a hand model. When the acting and modeling gigs started to dry up, Serhant turned to real estate at the end of the 2000s.

He led a team at Nest Seekers International that quickly became known for brokering uber-pricey deals in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Serhant landed a part as one of the brokers on “Million Dollar Listing New York” in 2012, and started his own show on the network in 2017, offering advice to brokers on how to up their business game.

In early 2021, the months-old SERHANT brokerage inked a 15,000-square-foot lease for its headquarters at 372 West Broadway in SoHo, with plans to open it in the spring of 2021.
