Real estate location firm Placer.ai announced Thursday that Jigso co-founders Or Shani and Tomer Naveh have joined the company to help accelerate its ongoing artificial intelligence development efforts.
Shani and Naveh, who each bring 16 years of experience in AI and machine learning, will work alongside Placer.ai’s AI specialists. Tel Aviv-based Jigso describes itself as a proactive AI operating system that monitors customers’ entire tech stack in context to identify critical risks and recommend actions in real time. The duo’s first company, Albert.ai, was one of the first autonomous AI companies for advertising, which the pair took public and later sold.
Shani and Naveh will bring several of their Jigso co-workers with them to Placer.ai. Jigso will continue as a separate company.
“Speaking with Or and Tomer made one thing clear: Solving real customer problems takes more than one discipline,” Noam Ben-Zvi, CEO and co-founder of Placer.ai, told Commercial Observer in an email. “They bring a rare blend of applied AI, big data, data science and marketing solutions, starting with the client’s objective and building the exact right solution to solve it. That multi-dimensional mindset is exactly why we’re so excited to have them on board.”
Los Altos, Calif.-based Placer.ai said that more than 5,000 organizations, including Fortune 500 companies, use its proprietary data to understand how the physical world behaves. Building on its existing AI capabilities, Placer.ai is continuing to advance its vision of proactive intelligence, including insights delivered as they emerge, anomalies flagged in real time and recommendations that help customers move from data to decisions faster, according to the company.
“Great AI needs great, unique data, and Placer.ai has it,” Shani said in a statement. “This is the best team I’ve ever worked with, and, when we considered where we could make the biggest impact together, the answer was clear. The combination of proprietary data, an extensive customer base and a strong commitment to AI creates an opportunity we couldn’t pass up.”
