Shares of Invesco’s stock were trading higher by more than 1 percent Tuesday morning following the release of the investment management firm’s third-quarter financial results. While the firm’s earnings slightly missed analysts’ estimates, the report showed strong year-over-year growth in revenue.
For the three months ending Sept. 30, 2026, Invesco reported adjusted earnings of 72 cents per share, below the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 75 cents per share but above the 61 cents per share reported for the third quarter of 2025. Meanwhile, revenue for the third quarter of 2026 was $1.4 billion, up 16.5 percent from the $1.2 billion reported for the same period last year.
“We’re pleased with the continued strong results this quarter. We advanced several strategically important investment capabilities and vehicles, with many reaching record assets under management,” Invesco CIO Andrew Schlossberg said on Tuesday’s earnings call. “With discipline, focus and the benefits of scale, we are generating meaningful operating leverage and improving margins.”
During the third quarter, Invesco announced it repurchased $1.5 billion of Series A preferred stock from MassMutual. The firm’s leaders said it was a strategic decision driven by the need to reduce its overall financial burden. This repurchase brings Invesco’s total repurchases to $3 billion since May 2025.
“We expect the transaction to be earnings accretive in 2027, and the accretion will increase over time as we pay down the term loan,” Allison Dukes, Invesco’s chief financial officer, said during the call. “By repurchasing the preferred stock, we will save an additional $88.5 million in annual preferred stock dividends, bringing the total to $177 million that now becomes earnings available to common shareholders.”
Invesco reported a net income of $355.6 million during the third quarter of 2026, a 4.9 percent increase from $338.9 million in the second quarter, but a slight decrease from $356.4 million in the third quarter of 2025, according to the report. The firm also reported a 6 percent rise in average assets under management for the third quarter to roughly $2.5 trillion..
“We generated another quarter of significant organic growth, and the diversity of our business continued to drive AUM higher,” Dukes said on the call. “The resulting revenue growth, combined with well-managed expenses, delivered another quarter of positive operating leverage and significant improvement in our operating margin.”
