This fintech firm is stashing away some new office space.
Stash Financial, a digital personal finance and micro-investing company offering financial advice, has inked a 12,322-square-foot office lease at Spear Street Capital’s 641 Avenue of the Americas, Commercial Observer has learned.
The lease was signed in mid-August, according to a source close to the deal. The length of the lease was not disclosed, but Stash will occupy space on part of the building’s sixth floor — which spans a total of 22,000 square feet, according to the property’s website. The asking rent was $98 per square foot.
The finance firm, which did not immediately respond to CO’s request for comment, will move from its current location, a WeWork coworking space at 450 Park Avenue South, the source noted. It is unclear when the move will take place.
Jason Greenstein and Jonathan Franzel from Newmark represented the landlord in the deal while CBRE’s Paul Amrich, Neil King, Meghan Allen and Zach Price represented the tenant. Newmark declined to comment, while CBRE did not immediately respond to CO’s request for comment.
Located in Manhattan’s trendy Chelsea neighborhood, 641 Avenue of the Americas is an eight-story Beaux Arts office property located between West 19th and West 20th streets. Other tenants in the building include fragrance company DSM-Firmenich and cloud software company Infor.
