Independent music company MNRK Music Group has leased 7,629 square feet at the Rosen family’s 443 Park Avenue South office building, Commercial Observer has learned.
The seven-year, seven-month office lease occupies the entire ninth floor of the 11-story tower, according to Koeppel Rosen, the leasing and management agent for the Rosen family portfolio. The building is at the corner of Park Avenue and East 30th Street near Manhattan’s Murray Hill neighborhood.
Koeppel Rosen’s Max Koeppel handled the deal in-house for the landlord. Transwestern’s Luke Dillmeier, Patrick Heeg and Thomas Hines negotiated on behalf of MNRK Music in the transaction.
The asking rent was $48 per square foot, according to a source familiar with the deal.
MNRK Music, which manages a portfolio of labels and acts that includes Last Gang Records and folk band The Lumineers, currently lists its New York offices at the Trump Organization’s 40 Wall Street. The group moved into 443 Park Avenue South in mid-July, according to a source. It is unclear whether the move marks a relocation or an expansion for MNRK Music.
Other tenants at the Midtown South building include cloud data firm Ardoq, software firm LMI and architecture firm David Smotrich & Partners. Its retail component is occupied by a Joe Coffee Company location, as well as a storefront for apparel and footwear retailer Comme Des Garcons.
Spokespeople for MNRK Music Group and Transwestern did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
