No one needs any more proof that the suburbs are an attractive proposition to tenants than the fact that Amalgamated Life Insurance Company a.k.a. Alico just renewed its 105,000-square-foot space at Cohen Brothers Realty Corporation’s 333 Westchester Avenue in White Plains, N.Y.

It is the largest deal in Westchester County in 2021 so far, according to the landlord.

“Alico has always been a very important tenant to us and we are thrilled to extend their tenancy at 333 Westchester for the long term,” said Charles Cohen, president and CEO of Cohen Brothers, in a prepared statement.

The asking rent for the space was $35 per square foot. Marc Horowitz represented the landlord in-house and David Rosenbloom of Cushman & Wakefield (CWK) represented Alico.

The space is part of the four-building, 500,000-square-foot, 39-acre office campus that makes up 333 Westchester Avenue; Cohen Brothers acquired it in the late 1980s and hired Philip Johnson to redesign the property. Current tenants include USI Insurance, National Life Insurance and The Standard Life Insurance Company.
