Architecture firm Perkins and Will is moving its offices into Nomad Tower, Commercial Observer has learned.

The architecture and design outfit is relocating from 215 Park Avenue South, near Union Square, to Nomad Tower at 1250 Broadway between West 31st and West 32nd Streets. The firm inked a 10-year lease for 17,582 square feet on a portion of the second floor of the 39-story office tower, according to JLL (JLL), which is handling the building’s leasing. Asking rent in the deal was $79 a square foot, sources familiar with the deal told CO.

JLL’s Paul Glickman, Benjamin Bass, Diana Biasotti and Harley Dalton represented the landlord, Global Holdings Management Group, and Craig Panzirer handled the landlord side in-house. Mitchell Konsker and Paul Formichelli, also of JLL, represented the tenant.

Global Holdings recently finished a $50 million renovation of the property, which has been expanded and outfitted with a new tenant lounge and gym in the basement.

“Nomad Tower’s recently completed repositioning program, featuring a dynamic new lobby with extensive tenant amenities, has positioned the building to attract tenants across a variety of industries,” Glickman said in prepared remarks.

Several major tenants have leased space in the 1960s office tower over the past year, including ad tech firm Rubicon Project, translation software developer TransPerfect, real estate listings giant Zillow and law firm Gunderson Dettmer
