reprintsA San Francisco-based public relations firm is moving its New York City office from one Midtown South location to another.
LaunchSquad signed a six-year lease for 8,327 square feet at ATCO Properties & Management’s 373 Park Avenue South, where it will occupy a portion of the fourth floor, Commercial Observer has learned.
The communications firm plans to move from its current location at 121 East 24th Street into the new location in 2020.
ATCO’s 12-story building—between East 26th and East 27th Streets—is home to a roster of TAMI tenants, including the headquarters of arts-exclusive coworking provider Neuehouse, marketing technology firm DataXu, and flex office provider Knotel, as CO previously reported. French bakery Maison Kaiser also has its offices in the building.
“We are thrilled that LaunchSquad has chosen 373 Park Avenue South for its new Manhattan offices,” Kate Hemmerdinger Goodman, co-president at ATCO, said in a prepared statement. “This transaction further demonstrates the desirability of our building and the neighborhood’s status as a hub for media and technology companies.”
John Lizzul of Newmark (NMRK) Knight Frank represented LaunchSquad while Peter Goldich, William Carr and John Cinosky of ATCO represented the landlord in-house.
Asking rents were $56 per square foot, in a market sector where average rents in the first quarter were $83.15 per square foot, according to a market report by CBRE (CBRE).
Officials at NKF did not respond to a request for comment.
