Diptyque, a luxury perfume and scented candles brand, will move its North American headquarters to 240-246 West 35th Street, Commercial Observer has learned.

The Paris-based company signed a seven-year lease for 8,097 square feet on parts of the 14th floor of ATCO Properties & Management’s 18-story building between Seventh and Eighth Avenues, a spokeswoman for the landlord said. Asking rent was $56 per square foot.

Diptyque plans to ditch its current offices at 145 West 28th Street between Seventh Avenue and Avenue of the Americas for its new digs later this month, according to the ATCO spokeswoman.

John Cinosky and Colin Godwin of ATCO Brokerage Services represented the landlord while Colliers (CIGI) International’s Christel Engel brokered it for Diptyque. A spokesman for Colliers did not immediately provide a comment.

ATCO picked up the 165,000-square-foot 240-246 West 35th Street from RPW Group in 2016 for $108 million and recently finished several renovations to the building, including adding a new lobby and upgrading the common corridors, as CO previously reported.

“Our outstanding location, with easy access to Penn Station, Herald Square, and several major subway lines, coupled with our ongoing capital improvement program, makes it an ideal location for the brand,” Kate Hemmerdinger Goodman, a co-president at ATCO, said in a statement.

Other tenants at the property include Newsday-owned daily newspaper amNewYork, fashion designer Thom Browne and foreign language school Spanish-American Institute.
