A Harlem building where Barnard College leases space for student housing has been sold to Atlas Capital Group for $72.2 million, city records show.

The New York-based investment firm bought 2841-2847 Broadway, which has an alternative address of 601 West 110th Street, from owners the College Resident Club in a deal that closed earlier this month and was made public in property records today. Atlas financed the sale with a $45 million loan from Valley National Bank, city records show.

A spokeswoman for Atlas did not immediately respond to a request for comment and College Resident Club could not be reached. It was not immediately clear who brokered the deal.

The 13-story building between West 110th and West 11th Streets has nearly 150 units and houses about 183 Barnard students, according to city records and Barnard’s website. It’s unclear from property records when College Resident Club picked up the building.

The property also has ground-level retail space currently leased to The Vitamin Shoppe, Chipotle and Five Guys.
