Home goods and kitchenware brand Core Home is moving its corporate headquarters to Adams & Co.’s 42 West 39th Street after agreeing to take 21,184 square feet of office space at the Midtown property, Commercial Observer has learned.

Core Home inked a deal last month to take the entire fourth and fifth floors at the 18-story, 158,000-square-foot building between Fifth Avenue and Avenue of the Americas, just south of Bryant Park, according to sources with knowledge of the deal. The company is expected to move its offices from nearby in the Garment District at 247 West 38th Street in March.

Asking rent in the transaction was $44 per square foot. While Adams declined to provide the exact length of lease, describing it only as long-term, sources said the deal is for 10 years. Adams was represented in-house by David Levy and Brett Maslin, while Michael Beyda of Benchmark Properties represented Core Home.

In a statement, Levy said the tenant was drawn to the building’s “convenient, central location” in the neighborhood he termed “the Transit Triangle,” as well as renovations to the property’s lobby and windows and upgrades to the building systems. Benchmark’s Beyda confirmed the Core Home lease, but declined to provide further comment.

Other tenants at 42 West 39th Street include e-commerce retailer Bluefly—which recently consolidated its headquarters on the entire, 9,585-square-foot ninth floor, as CO reported in October—underwear brand Spanx and apparel company Castlewood Group.
