RXR Realty has a new neighbor: one of Europe’s largest banks.

Erste Group Bank AG, a Vienna-based financial services provider, has leased the entire 12th floor at 75 Rockefeller Plaza, Commercial Observer has learned. RXR, which bought a 99-year triple-net leasehold on the asset for an undisclosed sum in 2013, moved its own offices into the 33-story tower earlier this year.

The de facto landlord confirmed the deal to CO and called the lease “long-term,” but declined to comment on the exact term or the taking rent.

Bill Elder, executive vice president at RXR, called Erste, “definitely the perfect tenant.”

The bank, which leased 14,000 square feet in the Midtown tower between Fifth Avenue and Avenue of the Americas, moves from Vornado Realty Trust‘s 280 Park Avenue, where its lease will soon expire.

Ira Schuman and Stephan Steiner of Savills Studley represented the tenant, and a Cushman & Wakefield (CWK) team of Tara Stacom, Bruce Mosler, Ethan Silverstein, Justin Royce and Peter Trivelas represented the landlord, Elder said.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch is the anchor tenant in the building.
