reprintsSerafina will be opening at 2735 Broadway between West 104th and West 105th Streets in Manhattan Valley, the neighborhood north of the Upper West Side, Commercial Observer has learned.
Today the Northern Italian restaurant chain signed a 15-year lease for 4,200 square feet—2,200 square feet of it on the ground floor and the remainder below grade for storage and prep work, according to Jarrett Sharp of Murro Realty, who represented Serafina in the deal. Serafina will also have outdoor dining for 35.
“The neighborhood needed a quality restaurant like Serafina,” Sharp said. Michael Segerman of Pink Stone Realty represented the landlord, Empire Management, in the transaction.
Serafina, which has 10 existing locations in Manhattan as well as outposts throughout the U.S. and the world, will replace the now-shuttered Toast diner in Manhattan Valley. The asking rent was $28,000 per month with no key money, Sharp said.
“We wanted Serafina as a tenant because of their stellar reputation in the restaurant industry,” Segerman said. “We believe that they will have tremendous success in the area and hope to see continued success for an already well-known establishment.
The new Serafina will open in about four months.
