Crystal products designer and retailer Baccarat will be opening its maiden pop-shop in the West Village specifically for the holiday season, Commercial Observer has learned.

Baccarat’s high-end grab-and-go gift location will be open from Nov. 1 until the end of the year in 1,000 square feet on the ground floor of a four-story residential co-op building at 371-373 Bleecker Street between Charles and Perry Streets in the West Village. Asking rent for the space, previously occupied by Brazilian clothing brand UMA, was $475 per square foot, according to a spokeswoman for Newmark Grubb Knight Frank.

Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Retail’s Ross Kaplan and colleague Stephen Gordon represented Baccarat in the transaction. RKF’s Karen Bellantoni and Caleb Petersen represented the landlord, 373 Bleecker LLC, in the deal. Petersen declined to comment.

“We are excited to open this new pop-up boutique on Bleecker Street and bring the concept of Everyday Baccarat to this Downtown location,” Jim Shreve, the president of Baccarat USA, said in prepared remarks. “We look forward to presenting a curated gifting collection to our customers as well as introducing beautiful gifts in a red box to new customers.”

Kaplan explained “Everyday Baccarat” as “a relatively new concept Baccarat has adapted over the past couple of years. The concept is that we should use our crystal every day and for every occasion, not just for special occasions.”
