Research and consulting company Metis Associates has signed a sublease to relocate its headquarters within the Financial District, according to a press release from the firm’s brokerage.

The 35-year-old company has signed an 11,075-square-foot deal at 55 Broad Street between Beaver Street and Exchange Place, according to Savills Studley. Metis’ sublease is for five years, according to The Wall Street Journal, which first reported news of the deal. The brokerage declined to provide the asking rent via a spokeswoman.

Metis will be based on the whole 25th floor of the 30-story, 400,000-square-foot property, according to the release.

Marc Shapses, Oliver Petrovic and Seth Wasserman of Savills Studley represented Metis, while Kyle DeBussey and David Glassman of Colliers (CIGI) International represented the sublandlord, StatPro, and declined to comment. The company’s lease at the space runs through May 2022, according to CoStar Group.

Metis is leaving behind 120 Wall Street, where it still has six years left on its lease, according to Savills Studley.

“Due to Metis’ proactive approach we were able to leverage our resources and build a creative deal that was advantageous to everyone involved,” Shapses said in prepared remarks.
