Law Firm Renews at 200 PAS in Union Square
Muchnick, Golieb & Golieb, a law firm that focuses on estate planning, real estate and tax litigation, has renewed its lease at 200 Park Avenue South, Commercial Observer has learned.
The law firm occupies 5,397 square feet on part of the 17th floor of the building between East 17th and East 18th Streets. The office has abundant sunlight, access to the rooftop terrace and overlooks Union Square.
Asking rent in the deal was $85 per square foot, according to ABS Partners Real Estate, which represented both the landlord and the tenant on the deal.
“Union Square is a broad brush of financial firms, law firms, cosmetic firms, all three of which are in this building,” ABS’ Alan Friedman, who worked on the transaction alongside colleague Charles Conwell, told CO. “The renewal shows that they are committed to the area and this is clearly where they wanted to be.”
Mr. Friedman declined to comment on the length of the lease. Muchnick, Golieb & Golieb has been a tenant in the property since 2000.
The building is owned by 200 Park South Associates, an LLC that ABS runs. Other commercial tenants include Signature Bank and Red Door Spa. Cosmetics and fragrance company Elizabeth Arden, which operates Red Door Spa, recently signed a 35,698-square-foot office lease at the building, as CO previously reported.
